Fabric
Commonly known as Milkweed because of the latex it produces, Calotropis grows widely in deserted, abandoned lands in India.
A cruelty-free and plant-based wool alternative, meticulously crafted without a single drop of chemical, Calotropis yarn is spun with the utmost care, derived from the carefully extracted calotropis stem and pod fibers, and is delicately blended with 70% rain-fed cotton.
Care Instructions
- To achieve the best result wash your clothes by hand. For machine washing, use a gentle cycle at room temperature.
- Wash colors separately, particularly for the first wash.
- Wash clothes inside out.

- Please avoid tumble dry. If unavoidable, tumble dry at low temperatures.
- Natural colors are sensitive to light. Dry in shade.

- Handmade
Our Weganool scarves are woven from Calotropis, an innovative plant-based fiber extracted from the Calotropis shrub. The process begins by carefully harvesting the plant’s stem and pods, where the natural fibers are separated without harming the ecosystem. These fibers are then blended and spun to create a textile that is soft like wool, yet completely vegan and sustainable.
